A huge advantage at this price point is the mechanical disc brakes, which offer much better stopping power than traditional rim brakes, especially on dusty or wet trails. The front suspension fork does a decent job of soaking up smaller bumps.
However, it’s not perfect. Out of the box, it required a full tune-up from a local bike shop to get the gears shifting smoothly and the brakes dialed in. The stock saddle is also very firm and uncomfortable, so plan on replacing it for any ride longer than 30 minutes.
