James Rane Negron (verified owner) –
I’ve been running a custom apparel shop out of my garage for about two years now, and upgrading to this 16×24-inch semi-automatic press was the best investment I’ve made. I was previously using a smaller manual press, and the difference is night and day.
First off, the 16×24 size is massive. It allows me to easily press oversized hoodies and XL designs without having to do multiple presses or worry about edges not getting enough heat. The heating is incredibly even across the entire plate; I tested it with a heat gun, and it stays consistent within a couple of degrees of the setting.
The “semi-automatic” feature is the real winner here. The electromagnetic release means that once the timer hits zero, the press pops open on its own. This has saved me from scorching several shirts when I’ve been distracted by a phone call or prepping the next garment. It’s a total lifesaver for multitasking.
The slide-out drawer (pull-out base) is also a huge plus for safety. I can lay out my transfers without having my hands anywhere near the top heating element. No more accidental knuckle burns!
It’s a heavy piece of equipment, so make sure you have a sturdy workbench, but the build quality feels industrial and built to last. If you’re looking to scale up your production or just want a more professional, reliable setup, don’t hesitate. This machine is worth every penny.
